Relaxation and leisure at our unique destination
On and in Lake Lucerne you can book various activities on our premises or simply relax in the sun or under the beautiful trees in the castle park. If you feel like fitness exercises or yoga, we provide you at the reception free of charge our fitness bag with many devices and exercises, which you can perform in the Schloss-Saal, in your room or in good weather on the balcony or in the Schloss-Park. Every Monday evening you also have the opportunity to attend Pilates classes. We will be happy to inform you at the reception.
Schloss-Park on the lake
Behind the Castle Hotel, surrounded by lush greenery, colorful flowers and directly on Lake Lucerne, you will find our Castle Park. Enjoy the sun in the two lounges, the various seating areas or the deck chairs and hear the gentle waves. The Schloss-Park is reserved for our hotel guests and is also a popular location for weddings and celebrations. On days with an event in the Schloss-Park, the Badi-Lounge offers an alternative. We will be happy to provide you with deckchairs free of charge for this purpose at the reception.
Sports equipment for rent during the summer season
From mid-April to the end of September we offer various sports facilities either on the lake or around the lake.
Fitness bag
Fancy some fitness, self-body exercises, a series of yoga poses or training with a theraband? We are happy to provide you with our fitness bag free of charge. You can borrow it at the reception.
In the fitness bag you will find various tools for fitness, gymnastics and yoga exercises in the room, on the balcony or in the castle hall next to the sauna.
Pilates in our Schloss-Saal
Every Monday there are two Pilates lessons in our castle hall.
Lesson 1 from 6:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m.
Lesson 2 from 7:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m.

Costs per hour CHF 20.00.
All of our yoga and pilates teachers are professionally trained and have many years of teaching experience. Participation in our yoga or pilates lessons is at your own risk. The Swiss-Chalet Merlischachen assumes no liability for injuries or accidents. Please inform us of any health restrictions before the start of the class.
E-Bikes
4 brand new e-bikes are available at the castle hotel. Ride with them without much effort along the lake or even up to our local recreation area, the Allmig. Enjoy the best views of the Alps. We have everything ready for your perfect day at Lake Lucerne.

Hike over the Allmig to Lucerne
Mountains on the horizon, magical buildings along the way
From Küssnach am Rigi train station via Merlischachen, Bärgiswil, Meggen, Meggenhorn to Lucerne train station
Beautiful views of Bürgenstock, Stanserhorn, Buochserhorn, Brisen. The Pilatus and the Rigi are also in view from time to time.
Equipment
The path is well suited for sneakers because of the many asphalt and road. Hiking shoes are not absolutely necessary.
Rafting Tour in Interlaken

Enjoy free time to explore Interlaken on your own before being greeted by experienced guides and introduced to the adrenaline-packed rafting adventure ahead. Just below the impressive Eiger North Face, the breathtaking ride in the inflatable boat begins. Paddle through the challenging white water of the Swiss Alps and steer the raft under professional instruction through the turbulent class III – IV rapids to the turquoise blue Lake Brienz. The unique landscape of the legendary Bernese Oberland provides the perfect backdrop for this exhilarating adventure. In the late afternoon, reunite with your guide for the return trip to Lucerne.
The tour is accompanied from Lucerne to Interlaken and from Interlaken to Lucerne by a professional multilingual tour guide (English/Spanish/Chinese/German). During the rafting adventure you will be supervised by a certified outdoor guide (English/German) from our partner “Outdoor Interlaken”.
